God is My Refuge
Be Encouraged! I do not know what the situation in your life is at this moment. I hope that you have had a wonderful time celebrating our Independence Day. One of the most wonderful freedoms we have is to read the Word of God where we find so many answers to our dilemmas.
Deuteronomy 33: 27 says: “The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy! ”
I have seen God be my refuge when He has protected me so many times. One time I had a car come toward me in the wrong lane. I had to choose between hitting the car head on or taking the ditch. I chose the ditch. It was as if God had His angels lay the car next to a soft mound of dirt. I was able to get the car out of the ditch and drive it to a dealership near my husband’s place of work. There was no damage to the car. That night at prayer meeting, someone asked me what happened at 3: 30 p.m. I asked, “Why?” He said, “Because God put me on my knees at that moment to pray for you and showed me angels around your vehicle.” God was my refuge.
When I’m really tired from working or, perhaps, returning from a mission trip, God always seems to provide a refuge for me where I can rest and His peace passes all understanding.
He also works through the prayers of His people to deliver me from my enemies. I have often seen God change my situation when an enemy was trying to intimidate me or harm me.
Have you found God to be your refuge? Whatever your dilemma may be, I encourage you to run to His everlasting arms. He will never disappoint you. Be Blessed.
